Funeral services for Mrs. Anne Cook Graben, age 73 of Talladega, will be held on Saturday, August 10, 2024 at 10:00 A.M. at Benefield Funeral Home in Ashland with Guy Knight officiating. Burial will follow in the Clay County Memory Gardens.
Anne was born in Atlanta Georgia, graduated from Ervin High School in Jefferson County, but lived a large portion of her life in Clay County. She had worked for several years at Higgins Mfg. and truly enjoyed her time running a Day Care Out of her home. Her family and grandchildren were very special to her and always enjoyed watching them play ball, cooking for them and anyone who was hungry. Anne also enjoyed working with arts and crafts, traveling, going on cruises with her late husband Wayne, and Auburn Football.
Mrs. Anne Graben is survived by two sons: Michael Graben (Julie) of Springville and Stephen Graben (Tina) of Munford; her daughter-in-law, Pattie Graben, two brothers: Clark H. Cook, Jr. and Joe Cook, both of Odenville; eight grandchildren; five great grandchildren and a large extended family.
She is preceded in death by her parents: Clark H. Cook Sr. and Helen June Stancil; her husband, Wayne Graben, her son, David Graben, and a brother, Mark Cook.
Active Pallbearers will be Chad Gortney, Dylan Campbell, Justin Gortney, Payton Graben, Connor Graben, Michael Lowrance, Chris Haynes, and Ricky Haynes.
Honorary Pallbearers will be Bryson Gortney, Harvey Smith, and Kenneth Vickery.
Visitation will be held on Friday, August 9, 2024 at Benefield Funeral Home in Ashland from 5:30-7:00.

The family request in lieu of flowers donations may be made to St. Jude’s Cancer Research, though family would appreciate flowers if they are given.
