Anna Meyer Burnett, 63, of Florence, gained her angel wings on February 22, 2024. She was born September 21, 1960. Anna was adopted by Butch and Clarisia Meyer from Catholic Charities, in Mobile, AL. Anna was a floral designer for over 37 years. She worked at several florist in Florence, and Huntsville.
Anna was preceded in death by her parents, Butch and Clarisia Meyer; and her father-in-law, Wray Burnett.
She is survived by her husband, David Burnett; sons, Jason Jones and Ben Burnett (Cassie); daughter, Stacey Burnett; mother-in-law, Phyllis Burnett; brothers, Larry and Henry Meyer; aunt, Cissie Meyer; uncle Charlie and aunt Mary Alice Meyer.
Since Anna was adopted, she was a firm believer in “it’s not blood that makes you family, it’s the love”, so she wanted to list her 3 honorary sons, Shannon Hughes, Chris Kasmeier, and Caleb Gray.
She also wanted to thank all her Preferred Hospice nurses; Shelby was her favorite.
A visitation will be March 3, 2024 from 11-1 p.m. at Greenview Funeral Home. The funeral service will begin at 1 p.m. in the funeral home chapel. Dress will be casual.
