Anna Mae Sanders Shadburn, 87, of Iuka, Mississippi, died on Friday, June 28, 2024, at Tishomingo Manor Nursing Home. Anna Mae was born and raised in Iuka to the late Talmadge and Helen Sanders and graduated from Iuka High School in 1956. After graduating, she lived in the Mill Creek area for years where she made many lifelong friends and loved spending her time. She worked at Genesco Shoe Factory from the day it opened to the day it closed, and she enjoyed attending Iuka United Pentecostal Church when she could. Anna Mae found joy in reading, travelling with her sisters, researching genealogy, and cooking. She also loved flowers and working in her yard. Anna Mae is survived by her daughter, Betty Harrison (Steve); her grandchildren, Stephanie Medley, Dwayne Morgan, and James Harrison; her great-grandchildren, Kayla Daniel (Rylan), Hannah Falgout, Madisyn Falgout, and Camdyn Morgan; her great-great-grandchildren, Ryleigh and Ryder Daniel; and a host of other family members and friends. She was preceded in death by her parents, Talmadge and Helen Sanders; her infant brother, Bobby Sanders; and her siblings, Betty Sheilds, Paul Sanders, Lois Grissom, David Sanders, and Martha Sanders. Cutshall Funeral Home in Iuka, MS, is entrusted with the arrangements. Visitation is scheduled from 6:00 p.m. until 8:30 p.m. on Saturday, June 29, 2024, at Cutshall Funeral Home in Iuka. Visitation will continue on Sunday, June 30, 2024, from 12:00 p.m. until 2:00 p.m., at Cutshall Funeral Home in Iuka. Funeral services will follow on Sunday, at 2:00 p.m., officiated by Bro. William Lambert and Bro. Joe Woodruff. Pallbearers include James Harrison, Rylan Daniel, Connor Grissom, Reily Grissom, Dakota Hale, and Brian Grissom. Honorary pallbearers include Iuka High School Class of 1956. Interment will be in Mt. Evergreen Cemetery. Memorials may be made in Anna Mae’s honor to the Tri-State Cross for Christ (PO Box 316 Iuka, MS 38852).
