Anna Louise Sims, age 79, of Florence, went to be with the Lord on Feb. 18, 2018. Visitation will be Tuesday, Feb. 20th from noon-2 p.m. at Central Baptist Church of Florence. The funeral will follow at 2 p.m. with her son, Brother Jonathan Sims, officiating. Burial will be at Tri-Cities Memorial Gardens.
Mrs. Sims was a committed Christian and faithful member of Central Baptist Church. She was a real estate agent of Sims and Swinea Realty.
She enjoyed music, spending time sharing her talent as a member of The Mothersingers. A country girl at heart, she loved animals, flowers, and anything outdoors.
She was preceded in death by her parents, John and Mildred Peck; and sister, Norris Morrow.
Survivors include her loving husband of 59 years, Gerald Sims; sons, Marty Sims and wife, Donna, Jonathan “Jono” Sims and wife, Kala; grandchildren, Bailey Sims, Evan Sims, Emily (Kevin) Stewart, Amiee (Joshua) Branson, Julie Anna (Stephen) McClanahan, Nathan Sims, Ashleigh Sims, and Amy Montgomery; great-grandchild, Eleanor Branson; and sister, Mary Genna.
Mrs. Sims fought a courageous fifteen year battle with Alzheimer’s Disease, but she maintained her sweet personality through all of her difficulties. Her family is comforted by the fact that she was able to recognize them through all of this struggle.
