Anna Lou “Lucy” Stooksberry age 96 of Waynesboro, TN passed away on Friday, December 27, 2024. She was born on July 22, 1928 in Wayne County, TN the daughter of the late William “Will” and Flora Bell Martin Stooksberry. Lucy worked as a Housekeeper for many years at the nursing home in Wayne County, TN. In her spare time, Lucy enjoyed gardening and making quilts.
She is survived by her sister-in-law, Nella Faye Stooksberry.
In addition to her parents, Lucy was preceded in death by her brothers, Edward, Erbie, Osbie, Hershal, and Lawton; sisters, Lola, Irene, Earlene, Alta Dee, and Shirley.
Visitation will be held on Monday, December 30, 2024 from 9:00 am until 11:00 am service time at Shackelford Funeral Directors in Collinwood, TN.
Funeral services will be held on Monday, December 30, 2024 at 11:00 am at Shackelford Funeral Directors in Collinwood, TN with Greg Eaton officiating. Burial will follow in the McGlamery Cemetery in Collinwood, TN with Shackelford Funeral Directors assisting the family.
