Anna Lorene Lodge – Obituary

 Mrs. Anna Lorene Lodge, 92 of Florence, formerly of Nashville passed away Saturday, October 19, 2013 at Florence Nursing and Rehabilitation Center.

   She was a native of Loretto, TN., a beautician in Nashville for 65 years and one of the first members of St. Matthews Catholic Church in Franklin, TN. She enjoyed traveling and toured many states and countries with Francis and Earl Wieman, Jean Caum and Louise Childress. Although she did not have children of her own, she had an extensive extended family that she thought of as her own and was always helping those in need.
   Visitation will be held at Greenview Funeral Home on Monday, October 21, 2013 from 6-7 p.m. with Rosary at 7 p.m.Visitation at St. Matthew’s Catholic Church will be Tuesday, October 22, 2013  from 10-11 a.m. followed by Mass of Christian burial. Officiating will be Father Mark Beckman. Burial will follow in Calvary Cemetery in Nashville.
   Survivors include sister, Ruth Eckl and husband Leonard, Florence,AL; step-son, Robert Lodge, Richardson, TX and several nieces, nephews, and several step-grandchildren and step-great-grandchildren.
  She was preceded in death by her parents, Anthony and Rosa Hollander Hollman; husband, Robert Caruthers Lodge; sister, Mary Kelly; brothers, George Hollman, Frank Hollman, and Sylvester Hollman, step-daughter, Debbie Lodge and special friend Norris Lovette.
   In lieu of flowers, memorials can be made to St. Matthew’s Catholic Church, Franklin, TN. or to any children’s charitable organization.
   Pallbearers will include Terry Hollman, Tom Shumate, Christopher Sprankle, Casey Sprankle, Adrian Eckl and Alan Eckl.
