Anna Catherine Rohling Graham Joly – Obituary

Anna Catherine Rohling Graham Joly went home to be with her Lord on June 16, 2016, at age 97. She was born on Aug. 29, 1918, in Lawrenceburg, Tennessee.

The family will receive visitors at Our Lady of the Shoals Catholic Church in Tuscumbia on Monday, June 20, 2016, from 9 a.m. until 10 a.m., with the Mass of Christian Burial beginning at 10 a.m. Father Michael Adams will officiate. Burial will be in Holy Cross Cemetery. Morrison Funeral Home, Tuscumbia, is directing.

Anna was a very devoted and active member of Our Lady of the Shoals Catholic Church. Her greatest joy was sharing her faith and love for her Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ, by continuing to study Tradition and Scripture to deepen her faith in God and the teachings of the Catholic Church. At Our Lady of the Shoals Catholic Church, Anna was always active in welcoming new parishioners. She was a member of the Knights of Columbus Ladies Auxiliary, the Women’s Society at Our Lady of the Shoals, and also a member of Ladies of Charity, Nashville, Tennessee.

Anna was a person of great strength, courage, faith, love, generosity, compassion, and acceptance. The way she lived her life positively touched and tremendously affected the lives of many others.

Anna was preceded in death by her husbands, Paul H. Joly and Eugene Graham; parents, Henry Joseph and Anna Marie Rohling; sisters, Mary Neidert and Gertrude Neidert; brothers, Rev. Joseph Rohling, Albert Rohling, Thomas Rohling, James Rohling, and Lawrence Rohling; and stepson Paul Joly Jr.

Survivors include her stepsons, Alfred Joly (Elizabeth), Leon Joly (Vivian), and Fred Joly (Linda); many nephews, nieces, stepgrandchildren, and numerous other relatives and friends.

Family members will serve as pallbearers.
