Anna Carol Smith, age 81 of Pelham, passed away on Friday, August 7, 2020 at her residence surrounded by her loving family. Anna was born in Manchester on February 18, 1939 to the late Martin Grady and Anna Ruth (Reider) Gilliam. She was a devoted homemaker, and she cherished the time spent with her beloved family. Anna was an avid Atlanta Braves fan, loved to travel, and she enjoyed working in her flower garden, as well as going country line dancing with her husband. Anna was a devoted member of Pelham Church of Christ and a dedicated member of the ladies group. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her brother, John Grady Gilliam. Anna is survived by her loving husband of sixty years, Charles Smith of Pelham; children, Barry Smith of Pelham, Neal (Brucena) Smith of Decherd, and Sharon (Robin) Hood of Winchester; grandchildren, David Smith, Stephanie Smith, Emily (Aaron) Clark, Rachel Hood, Allison Hood, and Reanna Hood; great-grandchildren, Aiden Smith, Zoey Holland, Maddison Clark, Annalynn Clark, Emmeline Clark, Porter Smith, and Declin Smith ; and nephew, Gregory (Kay) Gilliam of Pelham. Visitation will be from 5-8 pm on Sunday, August 9, 2020 at Moore-Cortner Funeral Home. Funeral Services will be held at 11:00 am on Monday, August 10, 2020 in the Moore-Cortner Chapel with Rev.
