Ann Ryland, age 75 of Sheffield, passed away Thursday, September 13, 2012 after a brief illness with lung cancer. Her graveside service will be held Saturday, September 29, 2012, at 4 p.m. in Oakwood Cemetery, Sheffield with Rick Oberheide officiating.
Ann graduated from Sheffield High school in 1955 and then earned her BS in nursing at the Medical College of Virginia. She was employed with Helen Keller Hospital for many years and was a member of Grace Episcopal Church. She was devoted to her miniature dachshunds. Her parents, Gordon and Virginia Ryland, preceded her in death.
She is survived by her brother, Mac Ryland and his wife Judy of Atlanta, Georgia; nephews, William Ryland and his fiancé Jessica Lassere of San Francisco, California and Fitz Ryland of Portland, Oregon.
