Ann Kennemer Gordon, 91 of Athens, passed away on Wednesday, June 12th, 2024, at Hospice Family Care. Mrs. Gordon was born on May 3rd, 1933, in Athens, to Maclin Sloss Kennemer and Mary Katherine Chambers Kennemer.

Mrs. Gordon is survived by her sons William R. Gordon, Jr., of Hoover, Thomas H. Gordon (Kerri) of Athens, and James W. Gordon (Deanna), of Athens; grandchildren Amy, Trey, Justin, Emily, Jenna, and Sophie; 6 great-grandchildren; sister Kay Kennemer Thompson, of Huntsville; and several nieces and nephews.

She is preceded in death by her parents; 1st husband Earl Erwin; 2nd husband William R. Gordon; and brothers Mac Kennemer, Jimmy Kennemer, Bobby Kennemer, Billy Kennemer, and Al Kennemer.

Funeral services for Mrs. Gordon will be Monday, June 17th, 2024, at 11:00am at Limestone Chapel Funeral Home, with Kenny Baskins officiating. Visitation will be Monday from 10:00-10:50am at the funeral home. Burial will be at Athens city Cemetery. Pallbearers will be Rann Gordon, Tommy Gordon, Jimmy Gordon, Justin Gordon, Trey Gordon, Eric Miller, and Tim King.

Mrs. Gordon was a lifetime member of First Methodist Church. She enjoyed playing Bridge and playing the piano. She dearly loved children, teaching school for over 30 years. She was a Kappa Delta Sorority member in college.
