Ann Gilmer ComerAnn Gilmer Comer was a beloved grandmother, mother, and wife during her incredible 80 years of life. She passed away peacefully at her residence in Sulligent, AL surrounded by family in the evening hours of Monday, July 22, 2024. Funeral services will be held on Thursday, July 25, 2024 at 3:00pm from the Otts Funeral Home Chapel with burial to follow in the Shiloh Cemetery. Bro. Greg Cook and Bro. Randy Burbank, to officiate services. Visitation will be held at the funeral home on Thursday just prior to funeral services from 2:00pm until 3:00pm.

 

Ann had a long full life she was born in Sulligent, AL on November 28, 1943 to the late Veto and Annie Mae Merchant Woodham. She attended Greenwood Springs, Okolona, & Sulligent schools. She has been a member of Oak Hill Fellowship Church for many years. In Ann’s early years she was a marvelous seamstress, where she took great pride in her work, and completed many orders for her community. She previously worked at the Lamar County Courthouse and then later finished her career at the Mary Wallace Cobb Memorial Library in Vernon, AL. She loved deeply and cared immensely for others especially her family whom she took great care of and always held closely. To know Ann, is to love Ann.

Sons: Jamie (Melissa) Gilmer, Sulligent, AL

Dee (Tiffany) Comer, Amory, MS

Brother: Robert (Jesse) Woodham, Fulton, MS

Grandchildren: Skye (Gage) Wigington, Laura Beth (Nick) Warren, Chase Harbin, Ryan Harbin, Jody (Sierra) Comer, Josh Comer, Courtney Fooshee, April Fooshee, Alex Comer, Nic Comer

Great Grandchildren: 10

A host of nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends
