Ann Donnelly, 98, of Huntsville, passed away July 7, 2019, with her family at her side.
Born Anna Isabelle Harcharik in Bridgeport, CT, she was the third daughter of the late Alexander Harcharik and Helen Simko. Ann graduated from Warren Harding High School, Bridgeport, CT in 1939 and worked at the Remington Arms munitions factory during WWII. She married the late James Donnelly in 1942. They lived in Milford, CT until they migrated their young family to Wichita, KS in 1952 and to Huntsville in 1963.
Ann is survived by her sister Viola McCarrick, her eight children and their spouses- sons: James & Brenda of Phoenix, AZ, Edward & Barbara of Seneca, SC, Raymond & Dianne of Phoenix, AZ, Michael & Donna of Huntsville, Daniel & Constance of Fallbrook, CA and daughters: Sharon & Dale Young of Edgewater, FL, Diane & Robert Lucas of Hazel Green, AL, Kathleen & Johnny Sharp of Hazel Green, AL and a prodigious clan with 18 grandchildren and 32 great grandchildren.
Ann was predeceased by her husband James, sister Josefa Swetts, half-brother Vincent Chladek and grandchildren Christopher Donnelly and Elizabeth Sharp.
Visitation will be at Valhalla funeral Home, 698 Winchester Rd. NE in Huntsville on Wednesday, July 10, 2019 from 6:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. Funeral Mass will be held at St. Joseph Catholic Church, 2300 Beasley Ave., Huntsville at 10:00 a.m. on Thursday, July 11, 2019. Interment will be at Valhalla Memory Gardens, 698 Winchester Rd. NE in Huntsville following the Funeral Mass. Ann will be laid to rest beside her husband Jim and near her grandchildren.
