Ann Burton was born May 21, 1932 in Hardeman, TN the daughter of the late Jack and Sylvia Johnson Huckabee.
She was united in marriage to Daniel W. Burton on December 27, 1984. Mr. Burton preceded her in death on March 9, 2001.
Mrs. Burton was a member of the Ramer Baptist Church. She lived most of her life in McNairy County. She worked for many years at Brown Shoe Factory- retiring from Factory F and later retired from Factory B.
She was a good Christian woman who loved her family especially her grandchildren and great grandchildren. She was a wonderful mother, grandmother and sister.
Mrs. Burton departed this life on December 4, 2023 in Adamsville, Tennessee at the age of 91 Years, 6 Months, 13 Days. She is survived by a daughter, Nancy McClain of Selmer, TN; son, David Hill of Pensacola, FL; step daughter, Debbie Burton of California; stepson, Danny Burton of Ramer, TN;
five grandchildren, Greg Howell and wife Tabitha of Dyersburg, TN, Vicki Strickland and husband Jeff of Glen, MS, Amanda Yarber and husband Joe of Ramer, TN, Tracy (Hill) Morse of Pensacola, FL, Stephanie Hatfield of Glen, MS; 17 great grandchildren and 6 great great grandchildren;
three sisters, Norman Browder of Selmer, TN, Kathleen Lindsey and husband Tom of South Carolina, Helen Lindsey of Pennsylvania; three brothers, Rev. James Huckabee and wife Sue of Missouri, Bill Huckabee of Ohio, Buddy Huckabee of Selmer, TN; and a host of extended family and friends.
In addition to her husband and parents, Mrs. Burton was preceded in death by a son, James (Jim) Hill; a grandson, Kenny Hill; 3 brothers and 1 sister.
