Graveside services for Mrs. Ann Amason Nappier, age 76 of Ashland, will be held on Tuesday, September 24, 2019 at 11:00 A.M. at the Clay County Memory Gardens with Bro. Wally Rezendes and Rev. David Holcombe officiating.

Mrs. Nappier passed away on Friday, September 20, 2019 at the Clay County Hospital. A lifelong native of Clay County, she was well-known self-employed florist in the community. In 1976 she opened up “Ann’s Flowers” in Ashland, along with “Fernwood Nursery” in 1985, and later “Ann’s Flowers” in Roanoke until she retired.

She is survived by her daughter, Sharon McNatt (Fred) of Ashland; two sons: Tony Amason (Glenda) of Lineville; and Jonathan Amason (Sharon) of Roanoke; her grandchildren: Gavin McNatt, Morgan McNatt, Blake Jackson, Alli Amason, Megan Amason, and her grand pup, Tide; one sister, Milred Freeman; two brothers: Donald Edmondson (Diane) and Jerry Edmondson (Angie) of Lineville.

She is preceded in death by her parents, John Wyatt Edmondson and Fannie Belle Triplett Edmondson; and four brothers: Robert Edmondson, Bobby “Squirrel” Edmondson, John Edmondson, Jr., and Frank Edmondson.

Benefield Funeral Home of Ashland is in charge of the arrangements.
