Anita Orr Hubanks

Anita Orr Hubanks, a loving daughter, mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother, was born on February 17, 1960, in Selmer, TN to her parents, Georgia Moore Orr and the late Gerald Orr.

Anita was the owner of Anita’s Quick Stop in Selmer. She had a heart filled with compassion and genuinely enjoyed connecting with people from all walks of life. Whether it was a listening ear or a helping hand, Anita was always willing to give. Her infectious personality and boldness were complemented by an impeccable taste for beautiful jewelry that perfectly matched her outgoing nature and undeniable sass.

However, the true joy in Anita’s life came from her greatest treasures – her grandkids who affectionately called her “Nanny.” They were the source of immense joy and countless laughter for Anita. Her love for them knew no bounds.

On October 16, 2023, at her home in Bethel Springs, Tennessee, Anita departed this world at the age of 63 Years, 7 Months, and 29 Days. She is survived by her two daughters, Brandy Gilchrist of Bethel Springs, TN and Christy Hubanks along with her partner Perry Wildermuth of Henderson, TN; her beloved mother, Georgia Orr of Selmer, TN; three grandchildren: Hannah Kiser, Hayden Brown, Hunter Brown; great-granddaughter, Emily Brown; two sisters: Elizabeth Tanner and husband Paul of Selmer, TN; Betty Reimer of Selmer, TN; two brothers, Robert Orr and wife Debby of Selmer; Randall Orr of Bethel Springs; along with numerous extended family and friends.

In addition to her father, Anita was preceded in death by two sisters, Judy Orr and Kay Sebren.

Anita Orr Hubanks will forever be remembered for her generous spirit, vibrant personality, and unwavering love for her family.
