Anita Mayfield, age 63, passed away Wednesday, February 23, 2022 at her home.
She was born August 14, 1958 in Cook County, IL and adopted by the late Walter Lawrence and Tommie Norma Duberry Mayfield. She grew up in Chester County. She graduated from Chester County High School. She received her CNA license from Jackson State Community College.
She had worked at Jackson General Hospital, UT Family Practice, and mostly in home healthcare.
She attended Estes Church of Christ.
She loved life and her family.
She is survived by her two daughters, Kyli Mayfield Heller (Dale) of Henderson and Harlee Swezea of Henderson; two brothers, Terry Newkirk of Covington, IN and Roger Newkirk (Jennifer) of Covington, IN; two sisters, Alma Gordon (John) of Water Valley, MS and Pam Whitfield (Bruce) of Covington, IN; six grandchildren; Dyllan Morrison, Dustin Morrison, Makayla Morrison, Taelor Morrison, Ryder Swezea Morrison, and Rhaelyn Swezea; and one great grandchild, Mylah Barner.
She was preceded in death by her parents.
Memorial services will be 2:00 PM Tuesday, March 1st at the Shackelford Funeral Directors – East Main Chapel.
The family will receive friends at East Main 12:00 PM until 2:00 PM service time on Tuesday.
