Anita Gail Partain Dixon, age 63 of Waynesboro, TN passed away on February 7, 2024. She was born on June 12, 1960, the beloved daughter of the late James Buford “Windy” and Christeen Elizabeth Murray Partain.
Anita’s life was blessed with love and companionship as she was united in marriage to her devoted husband, Nicky Dixon on October 7, 1978. Together, they shared a profound bond that lasted throughout the years.
Anita dedicated over 20 years of her life as an insurance agent for Barnett Insurance. Her commitment to her work was unwavering, earning her the admiration and respect of her colleagues and clients alike. When Anita had spare time, she found solace and joy in various activities. Her passion for antiquing, design, and decorating allowed her creative spirit to flourish. Additionally, Anita cherished moments spent by the river, finding peace in nature’s embrace. But above all else, Anita treasured every moment she could spend with her family; their presence filled her heart with immeasurable happiness. Her grandchildren held a special place in her soul, bringing light and laughter into her world. Their love was truly a source of infinite joy for Anita.
Anita is survived by her loving husband Nicky Dixon of Waynesboro, TN; sons Seth Dixon (Jessica) of Columbia, TN and Ashton Bay Dixon (Josie) of Waynesboro, TN; and cherished grandchildren Emma Dixon and Cooper Dixon. She is also survived by her brother James “Bo” Partain (Sharri) of Clifton, TN; as well as several nieces, nephews, and cousins.
In addition to her parents, Anita is preceded in death by her dearly missed sister, Peggy Partain Dotson.
Visitation will be held on Saturday, February 10, 2024, from 12:00 pm until 2:45 pm at Shackelford Funeral Directors in Waynesboro, TN.
Graveside services will be held on Saturday, February 10, 2024, at 3:00 pm at Memorial Gardens of Wayne County in Waynesboro, TN with Jamison Edwards and Cary Crews officiating with burial to follow. Shackelford Funeral Directors assisting the family.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests memorial donations be made to the Ladies In Pink Society.
