Angela Rae Baker Radtke Profile Photo Angela Rae Baker Radtke, age 49, of Spring Hill, TN passed away unexpectedly on April 12, 2023 at Vanderbilt University Medical Hospital in Nashville, Tennessee, surrounded by her family. Angela was so beloved that family and friends from all over the country rushed to her side. Even the hospital staff was amazed by the abundance of love evident in how many came to be with her. Born in Fort Madison, Iowa to Ronald Baker and Jean Baker, she grew up in a very close family. Angela is preceded in death by her father, Ronald Baker; mother-in-law, Karen Radtke; her dog, Roxi and her cat, Bailey.

A 1992 graduate of Fort Madison High School in Fort Madison, Iowa, Angela decided to move to Cedarburg, Wisconsin in 1994. Angela met the love of her life, David Radtke II and they married on August 31, 2007. Angela began her career with Northwestern Mutual in 2007 and worked there until her passing. She loved her work and the many friends she made there over the years. Dave and Angela decided to pursue their dream of moving to Nashville in 2017. They quickly fell in love with the Tennessee landscape and had many wonderful adventures exploring nearby states with their dogs, Roxi and Porter.

Aside from Angela’s great love of Boston Terriers, she was a long time Dallas Cowboys and Iowa Hawkeyes fan. It made her so proud to attend football games while her nephew Tyler played in the Iowa Hawkeyes Marching band. Aptly born a Baker, Angela was wonderful at baking. It was one of the ways she showed love to others; by showering them with her homemade pies, cookies, and other various treats. She loved trying out new recipes, whether it was for her co-workers, family or friends, Angela never disappointed with her desserts. Every birthday was an occasion for an elaborate and delicious cake, perfectly personalized for the guest of honor. She especially enjoyed baking for her nephews and nieces, whom she adored. She helped raise them as her own and they equally adored her.

Angela’s kindness and generous spirit will be incredibly missed. Angela had a way of making everyone feel special. Always a listening ear that never passed judgment and loved unconditionally. She always thought of others first, bringing the perfect gift for every occasion. Even if it was just her stopping by to say hello, she had something personalized in hand.

Angela is survived by her husband, David Radtke II; mother, Jean (Baker) Polhans; sisters, Lori Baker (Mark) Kusnierewicz and Shannon (Ryan) McKenzie; father-in-law, David Radtke; brothers-in-law, Paul Radtke and Keith Radtke; nieces and nephews, Aury Winn, Justin Kusnierewicz, Tyler  McKenzie, Anya Kusnierewicz, Morgan Radtke and Hailey Radtke; her best friend and cousin, Gena Garcia, and her beloved dog, Porter.

Services will be held at St. Leonard’s Catholic Church in Muskego, Wisconsin on Thursday, May 4, 2023. Visitation will be from 3-4 pm with Mass of the Christian burial at 4:30. In lieu of flowers, memorials can be made to the Wisconsin Humane Society and The Cathedral Center in Milwaukee, Wisconsin.
