Angela “Angie” Aurigemma passed away of natural causes Monday. She was born in Waterbury, Connecticut and had been living with her daughter and son-in-law for the past 30 years. She was a communicant of Holy Spirit Catholic Church and participated in the Edendary Group, helped with Meals on Wheels, and was a member of St. Vincent de Paul. Mrs. Aurigemma was preceded in death by her husband, Harry.
Survivors include sons, Henry Aurigemma of Waterbury, CT, and Domenic Aurigemma and wife, Lucy of Prospect, CT; daughters, Angela Giesen and husband, Joseph, of Huntsville, Helen Voudris and husband, Steve, of Watertown, CT, and Mary Ann Swider and husband, Bernie, of Lexington, SC; grandchildren, Domenic Aurigemma, Jr. and wife, Kelli, David Aurigemma and wife, Christy, Joey Giesen and wife, Natalie, and Monica and Felicia Voudris; great-grandchildren, Jonathan, Geneva and Anthony Aurigemma and Caleb and Charlotte Giesen; and several nieces and nephews.
Visitation will be from 4 to 6:30 p.m. Wednesday at Holy Spirit Catholic Church. A Memorial Mass will be held at 10 a.m. Thursday at the church with Father Michael Mac Mahon officiating. She will be transported to Waterbury, CT for an interment celebration at Calvary Cemetery for family and friends who wish to attend.
Memorial donations may be made to the Society of St. Vincent De Paul, which was Angie’s favorite charity work.
