Andrew Wayne “Drew” Wagnon

The family of Andrew Wayne “Drew” Wagnon, age 68, of Moulton, will host a Spreading of the Ashes Ceremony on Saturday, October 19, 2024, on the Tennessee River at Ingall’s Harbor in Decatur.  Ceremony time will be announced closer to date.  Everyone is welcome to attend and celebrate Drew’s life.

Andrew died Tuesday, August 27, 2024, peacefully, in the early morning hours at his care facility in Moulton, AL.  He was born March 27, 1956, in Huntsville, AL to his loving parents, Frederick Wayne Wagnon and Estelle Ogletree Wagnon, who preceded him in death.  He was a loving father of two daughters who survived him, elder daughter, Megan Linnea Wagnon (Stephen) and younger daughter, Erin Wagnon Walls (Eric).  He is also survived by two brothers, William “Bill” Wagnon (Amy)  and Bruce Wagnon (Cindy); grandson, Robert Levi Walls; and four nephews/nieces, Justin, Brittany, Carla, and Ethan..

Andrew was an animal-lover, outdoorsman, and an adventurer.  He spent a great deal of time on the river.  His love of the water was also manifest in his work as a boat captain and a professional diver.  He was a 1970 graduate of Decatur High School. His true life passion was riding his motorcycle and traveling the world.
