Funeral Service will be at 1:00 pm, Friday, July 22, 20022 at Collier-Butler Chapel for Andrew “Andy” Jackson Day, Jr., 88, of Gadsden who passed away Monday, July 18, 2022. Rev. Stafford Rowser will officiate with burial to follow at Marshall Memory Gardens, Albertville, AL.
Collier-Butler Funeral and Cremation Services will direct.
Mr. Day was a Talladega native and a longtime resident of Gadsden. He, along with his wife, owned and operated Gadsden Printing Company. Mr. Day was a veteran of the U S Army serving in the Korean War stationed in Japan.
He was preceded in death by his wife of 59 years, Dorothy Mazell Day; son, Daryl Lee Day; and parents, Andrew Jackson Day, Sr. and Annis Meeks Day.
He is survived by his sons, James (Sherri) Day and Jonathan Day; grandchildren, Natasha Day (David Shetter), and Nicholas (Melissa) Day; great grandchildren, Orrin, Morgan, Tyler, Taylor and Olivia.
Pallbearers will be family and friends.
The family will receive friends from 12 pm until the hour of service at the funeral home Friday.
