Amy Nash Massey Perryman, age 56, of Counce, Tennessee, died surrounded by family on Tuesday, January 28th, 2025, at Vanderbilt Medical Center following a brief illness. Amy’s final act of kindness was as an organ donor. She successfully helped prolong the life of at least one person through kidney donation.
She was born March 27th, 1968 in Corinth, Mississippi, to the late Hardy Nash and Mrs. Rebecca Swanson Deaton. She was a Educator and Principal for the Maury County School System and was a member of the Mt. Pleasant First United Methodist Church. She loved being a Mom and serving her community, especially in the FUMC Womens Groups. She loved boating, swimming, and all Mississippi State Athletics.
In addition to her father, she was preceded in death by a brother, Michael Nash, and step father, Dennis Swanson.
In addition to her mother, she is survived by one daughter, Rebecca Peden Massey, of Sioux Falls, SD; and one son, Nathan Anderson Massey of St. Petersburg, FL; nieces, Camrae Gouldthorpe, Bailyn McManaman, ex-husband, Eric Perryman of Columbia, and step mother, Karen Bullock.
The family will have a private memorial service later following cremation.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Maury Co. Animal Shelter or the Horace O. Porter School.
