TUSCUMBIA-The Alabama Music Hall of Fame will be hosting numerous events in participation with the Annual W.C. Handy Music Festival on July 25-30.
They will be kicking off Handy Week on July 25th with “Hot Rock with a Cool Vibe”, a concert featuring The Fiddleworms, Scott Boyer, and Natchez Mississippi’s Bishop Gunn. This event will be held at the Marriott Shoals Conference Center. Doors will open at 6:00 p.m. and the show will start at 7:00 p.m. Tickets are $15 and are available at Marriot Shoals Front Desk and amhof.ticketleap.com/hotrock/.
Beginning Tuesday, July 25th- Friday, July 29th, the Alabama Music Hall of Fame will be showing “St. Louis Blues” a movie about W.C. Handy starring Alabama native Nat “King” Cole. The movie will start at 10:00 and is free to the public. Tours of the museum will half price during Handy Week.
