ATHENS-The American Legion Colbert County Memorial Post 31 will celebrate Flag Day on Saturday, June 13th at 10:00 a.m. at Spring Park in Tuscumbia. During the recognition of Flag Day, members of Post 31 will properly dispose of old flags during an official flag burning ceremony. Anyone having old, unusable flags can bring them to the ceremony at 10:00 a.m. or leave them in a bag or box at the Post 31 meeting hall door at 110 ½ North Main St in Tuscumbia. Following the flag burning activities, Post 31 members and their spouses/guests are invited to a cookout in Spring Park. For more information, please call 256-577-6968 or 256-762-4206.
*Note* The American Legion Colbert County Memorial Post 31 will have its next monthly meeting on Monday, June 15th at 6:30 p.m. The meeting will be held at the Post meeting hall located at 110 ½ North Main St. in Tuscumbia.
