Amanda Gayle Plaxico Burns, 42, resident of Tippah County, passed away Sunday May 19, 2024, at North Mississippi Medical Center in Tupelo, MS.

Funeral Services honoring Amanda’s life will be at 2 PM Wednesday May 22, 2024, at New Life Mission Church in Tippah County with Bro. Doc Shelton officiating with visitation beginning at 11 AM until time of service. Burial will follow in Cedar Mound Baptist Church Cemetery.

Born June 20, 1981, in Tippah County, Amanda is the daughter of the late Calvin Plaxico and Frances Mullins Roberson. She received her education from Falkner High School and was a graduate of Pine Grove High School. A Christan, Amanda was diagnosed with Lupus at an early age which led her to being a homemaker for most of her life.

Amanda’s favorite pastimes included hanging out with her friends, being outdoors, and watching television. Above all, she loved her children and will always be remembered for her loving personality, caring nature, and living life to the fullest. She will truly be missed by all those who knew and loved her.

Those left to cherish her memories include two sons, Calvin Burns and Travis Burns, one sister, Angela Shelton (Donald), two brothers, Steve Plaxico (Ashlea), and Joey Plaxico, and a host of aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, family, and friends.
