Alvis Goldman Moore, age 78, of Ethridge, TN passed away Tuesday, September 17, 2013 at NHC Healthcare of Scott in Lawrenceburg, TN. He was a native of Giles County, TN, retired from Murray Ohio and TN Valley Recycling, former Captain of Rose Hill Rescue Squad in Giles County, and of the Baptist Faith.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Alvin James and Vera Estella Barnickle Moore; two children, Tony Moore and Kathie Moore; one brother, James W. Moore; and one grandchild Nicholas Moore.

Arrangements are being handled by Neal Funeral Home, 231 N. Military Avenue, Lawrenceburg, Tennessee. The family will receive friends from 5:00 PM to 8:00 PM Wednesday, September 18, 2013 at Neal Funeral Home. Funeral services will be conducted at Liberty Hill Baptist Church at 2:00 PM Thursday, September 19, 2013, with Wayne Ashford and Kevin Wells officiating. Mr. Moore will lie in state at the church from 12:00 PM until 2:00 PM. Interment will follow at Liberty Hill Cemetery in Giles County, TN. Family suggests memorials be made to Liberty Hill Cemetery Fund, Alzheimer’s Association, or American Cancer Society.
