Alvin Wayne Armes, age 78, of Springfield, passed away Monday, May 1, 2023 at his home. Memorial services will be conducted at 1pm Friday, May 5th in the chapel of Austin & Bell Funeral Home in Springfield.
The family will receive friends from 11am until time of the service at 1pm Friday at the funeral home.
Mr. Armes was born June 24, 1944 in Adams, TN to the late Clyde Bronco Arms and Ada Bell Jones Arms. He worked for Auto Zone for many years, loved being a “PawPaw”, and enjoyed hunting and fishing.
In addition to his parents, Mr. Armes was preceded in death by his brothers, Ralph Allen Arms, and Kenneth Arms; and a nephew, Allen Arms.
He is survived by his wife of 52 years, Donna Armes; son, Jason Wayne (Kelly) Armes; daughter, Kelly D. (Jason) Guy; 4 grandchildren, Jesse, Kaden, Kierra, and Jasmine; sister, Debra McEwing; and a nephew, Glenn Arms.
If so desired, in lieu of flowers, the family request memorial contributions be made to Mrs. Donna Armes to help with expenses. Donations may be made directly to the family or may be sent to the family in c/o Austin & Bell Funeral Home.
