Alvin W. “Pee Wee” Pyle, 86, of Tuscumbia passed away Saturday, April 15, 2017. The family will receive friends Tuesday, April 18th from 12:00 until 1:00 p.m. at Morrison Funeral Home, Tuscumbia. A memorial service will follow with Sid Fulford officiating.
Pee Wee was a member of Shoals Church of Christ in Tuscumbia. He was a U.S. Navy veteran and a member of the U.S. Coast Guard Auxillary. He was an avid outdoorsman and loved bass fishing on the Tennessee River. He was retired from the City of Tuscumbia.
He was preceded in death by his sons, Alvin W. Pyle Jr. and Mack W. Pyle; father, John Everett Pyle; and mother, Annie W. Pyle.
He is survived by his wife, Betty M. Pyle; daughter, Liz P. Underwood; grandchildren, Nicholas J. Underwood, Caroline Hollingsworth (Jonathan), and Lydia Williams (Chris); 3 great-grandchildren; brother, Wyman; special nephew, Mark Pyle; nieces and nephews.
