Alvin Cotham was born in Giles County, Tennessee on September 17, 1957 to his parents Roy Cotham and Merron Cotham. He departed his life on August 6, 2024. He grew up in the Bodenham Community. In his early ages he attended schools in the area-Campbellsville and Bridgeforth School.
Alvin had many hobbies that included working on lawnmowers and cars, going down to the spring to get fresh spring water, and riding his motorcycles. The greatest love that he had was driving his semi-truck. He would take three of his grandchildren riding in his big rig. Alvin was employed by Big G Express where he dedicated 40 great years of service. Alvin was a loving, kind person and would help anyone in need. He would often have something funny to say when you were around him.
A visitation will be held on Sunday, August 11th, 2024 from 11:00am to 12:00pm at Round Hill Missionary Baptist Church in Lynnville, TN.
The funeral service will follow at 12:00pm on Sunday, August 11th, 2024 at 12:00pm at Round Hill Missionary Baptist Church in Lynnville, TN.
The burial will be at Rocky Point Cemetery in Pulaski, TN.
Alvin is preceded in death by his mother, Merron Cotham, one Sister; Dorothy Cotham; Three Brothers, Leon Cotham, Ollis Cotham, and Samuel Cotham; and one Grandson Jaddarius Crook.
Our beloved Alvin leaves behind to cherish his memory, his loving wife, Mamie R. Cotham, father, Roy Cotham; his four loving children, Brenda (Ken) Dangerfield; Minister Kenneth L. (Latina) Duke; Ambrose (Muqeet) English; and Ronda Gayle Duke. Eighteen Grandchildren and sixteen Great-Grandchildren. Three special Grandchildren; Keylon Duke, Nazareth (Bud) Duke, and Janay Frierson. One special Great Granddaughter, Keymaya Duke. Four Sisters, Lyvonne Neal, Merron (Lee) Brown, Sandra Cotham, and Jacqueline (Ali) Ambrose; three brothers, Coy Cotham, Roy A. Cotham, and Melvin (Pam) Cotham. Sisters-in-law; Joanna Perry, Nancy Black, and Velma Wilson. Brother-in-law; Thomas (Rhonda) Black. Special Friends; Mike Harris, Terrance Pitts, and W.O. Lance. A host of nieces, nephews, relatives and friends also survive.
