Alvin Anderson age 89 of Tanner, passed away on Friday, September 13, 2014 at his residence. Mr. Anderson was born August 30, 1925 in Limestone County to John Anderson and Ella Mae Putman Anderson.
Services for Mr. Anderson are Sunday, September 14, 2014 at Limestone Chapel Funeral Home at 2:30 p.m. Visitation will be Sunday, September 14, 2014 from 1:00 until 2:15 p.m. at the funeral home. Burial will be in Limestone Memorial Gardens with Jimmy Clark and Bill Irby officiating.
He was a member of West Hobbs Street Church of Christ.
He is survived by his wife, Bobbie Anderson; son, Tony Anderson; daughter, Judy McCarley and husband Jimmy; sisters, Gladys Miller and Louise Black and husband Benton; several nieces and nephews.
He is preceded in death by grandson, Shain Lamon; parents, John and Ella Mae Putman; several brothers and sisters.
Pallbearers are George Mitchell, Billy Anderson, Larry Black, John Stewart, Malcom Gordon and Mitch Fuller.
In lieu of flowers memorials may be made to the Alzheimer Association or to West Hobbs Street Church of Christ.
