Alvie HodgesAlvie Hodges, 86, of Harvest, Alabama passed away June 3, 2022 at his home. He was born March 22, 1936 in Madison County, Alabama to Borgie and Lucille Hodges.

He served in the US Army for 2 years as an Infantry soldier in 1959. He retired from Teledyne Wah Chang in 1998. He loved gardening and watermelons. He also enjoyed going to Bar-B-Q competitions. In his retirement life he enjoyed watching all sports, especially Alabama football.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Borgie and Lucille Hodges; brothers, Frank Hodges, Samuel Hodges and B.V. Hodges.

He is survived by his wife of 60 years, Edith Hodges; daughter, Pam (Jimmy) Roberts; son, Wade (Lynn) Hodges; grandchildren, Steven (Kerry) Hodges, Austin Hodges, Emily (Matthew) Owens, Great-grandson, Easton Owens; and sister, Roberta Nabors.

Visitation will be Monday, June 6, 2022 from 12 Noon until 2 PM at Ardmore Chapel Funeral Home, Ardmore, Alabama.

The Chapel Service will follow visitation at 2PM at Ardmore Chapel Funeral Home with Pastor Jr. Cano officiating. Burial will follow in Ford’s Chapel Cemetery, Harvest, Alabama.

Pallbearers will be Jeff Hines, Jimmy Rodgers, Kelly Currin, Matthew Owens, Clay Loveday, and Mike Reed.
