Alton Lamar Greeson, 68, of Fort Payne, passed away Friday, July 15, 2022. He was born October 11, 1953 in DeKalb County, Alabama to the late Doyal L. and Florene Culver Greeson. He worked with EMS for 45 years, served as a deputy coroner in the early 1980’s, and enjoyed spending time as a ham radio operator.
Funeral services will be 2 p.m. Sunday, July 17, 2022 at Wilson Funeral Home with Rev. Ronnie Highfield officiating. The family will receive friends Saturday from 4 until 8 p.m. at the funeral home.
He is survived by his wife of nearly 49 years, Diane Gibson Greeson; son Steve Greeson and wife Amanda; grandchildren Patrick Rogers, Austin Hairell, Lexi Greeson and Autumn Greeson; brother Glenn Greeson and wife Kathryn; and numerous nieces and nephews.
Wilson Funeral Home and Crematory is in charge of arrangements.
