Alta “Pat” Collinsworth was predeceased by her parents, Annie Lois Ball and Ernest Emzile Elkins, and three siblings. She is survived by daughters, Debbie Beaupre (Jim) and Linda Provost; three grandchildren, Mathew Provost (Michelle), Dr. Brooke Provost Johnston (Andy), and Elizabeth Brodowski; Tom Provost; and six great-grandchildren.
Pat was retired from Huntsville City Schools where she worked for 25 years as executive assistant to the superintendent and later as liaison between the superintendent and the Board of Education.
She was a member of the First Methodist Church, the Twickenham Chapter of the Daughters of the American Revolution, and the Colonel Walter Ashton Chapter of Colonial Dames XVII Century. She was a past board member of the Supervisory Committee of the North Alabama Educator’s Credit Union and was a member of the Huntsville-Madison County Friends of the Library.
A graveside service will be held at Maple Hill Cemetery on Friday April 21, 2023, at 2:00 p.m. with the Reverend Coy Hallmark officiating.
