Alonzo H. (Junior) Partin, 88, of the Oak Grove Community of Franklin County, died December 22, 2021 at NHC in Tullahoma following an extended illness. He was born October 31, 1933 to Alonzo H. (Lonnie) Partin and Ethel Collins Partin. An Army veteran, Junior was a machinist and supervisor at Goodrich Industries in Tullahoma, retiring after 33 years of service. He then drove a van for 14 years for the Franklin County Senior Citizens Center. During both employments, he continued to raise soybeans and corn on the family farm. In addition to his enjoyment of farming, Junior loved following the University of Tennessee sports teams and the Atlanta Braves. He will be remembered by his family as a devoted and loving husband, father, grandfather and great-grandfather. Junior is survived by his wife of 66 years, Betty Gipson Partin; a daughter, Debbie (Mark) DeBoard of Winchester; a son, Lon (Melinda) Partin of the Alto Community; grandchildren, Tanner DeBoard of Estill Springs, Drew DeBoard of Nashville, Haley (Kyle) Gurley of Huntsville and Collin Partin of Alto; and a great-granddaughter, Zilah DeBoard of Nashville. Visitation will be 11 am-2 pm Sunday, December 26, 2021 at Moore-Cortner Funeral Home. Funeral services will follow at 2 pm in Moore-Cortner Chapel with Rev. Jason Heath officiating.
