Alma Jean Thomas Ashley, 77 of Double Springs, entered into rest on Friday, October 8, 2021 at her home surrounded by her loving family.
Alma was born on March 13, 1944 in Jasper, Alabama.
The family will hold a memorial service at a later date.
Alma is survived by her children: Harold (Tonya) Abbott; Kay (Dale) Halbrook; Bobby (Bridget) Abbott, Wayne (Paula) Abbott; bonus son, Shawn Ashley; brother, Wayne (Polly) Thomas; sister, Lou Luetkin; sister-in-law, Diana Thomas; grandchildren, Josh (Autumn) Lane, Scott (Leslie) Abbott, Ashley (Aaron) Hulsey, Amy (Travis) Fisher, Brittany (Josh) Freeman, Greg Abbott, Brianna (Aubrey) Abbott, Allen Abbott, Michael Ashley, Chris Ashley, Ken Ashley, Adam Thomas, Aubre Thomas; 14 great grandchildren, and 1 great-great grandchild.
She was preceded in death by her husband, James “Jim” Ashley; parents, Jonathan and Ida Lou Dill Thomas; brothers, Jerry, Ronald (Mable), George (Nellie) and Claude Thomas; sister, Beverly (James) Files; and brother-in-law, Dave Luetkin.
