Alma J. Throneberry – Obituary

Alma J. Throneberry, 68, of Decatur died Saturday. Graveside service will be today, July 6, 2016 at 10:30 a.m. at Roselawn Cemetery with Reverend Mike Callahan officiating and Ridout’s Brown-Service Funeral Home directing.

Mrs. Throneberry was born Dec. 21, 1947 in Alabama to William Edward Brock and Alma L. Wain Brock, who both preceded her in death. She is also preceded by one brother and one sister. She was a loving mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, mother-in-law and friend. She loved the Lord and was a member of Chapel Baptist Church. She was a very kind woman with a soft spoken voice and a big heart. She married Kenneth Throneberry on March 29, 1966 and on March 29, of this year they had their 50 year Golden Wedding Anniversary Celebration.

Survivors include her husband, Kenneth Throneberry; one son, Scottie Throneberry (Jeanette) of Decatur; two daughters, Toni Higdon (Ben) of Trinity and Vicki Adenane (Rachid) of Attleboro, Massachusetts; one brother, Billy Brock and three sisters, Gaynell Simmons, Sue Mashburn and Edna Segler; four grandsons, Ryan B. Throneberry, Kenneth S. Throneberry, B. Levi Higdon and Jake C. Higdon; one granddaughter, Ashley N. Dotson and one great-granddaughter, Mya E. Dotson.

Pallbearers will be Steven Throneberry, Michael Throneberry, Ben Higdon, Levi Higdon, Lesley Mashburn and Randy Simmons.
