Alma Cook Light, 98, formerly of Huntsville, AL, passed away Thursday, Aug. 11, 2016, at the Donalson Care Center in Fayetteville, TN. Mrs. Light was a native of Marshall County, AL. She was born on Nov. 19, 1917, to the late Charlie Mack and Nancy Collins Cook. She was a member of Northside Baptist Church.
Along with her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, V.H. (Bus) Light; her sisters, Mamie Hornsby and Dessa Cook; her brothers, Nathanial Cook, Tilus Cook, Dalton Cook, and Altie Cook.
She is survived by her son, Delano Light and wife, Betty; her daughter, Judy Fudge and husband, Ron; her grandchildren, Mona (Jerry) Petty, Renee (Rickey) Price, Jason (Sigrid) Fudge, and Becky (Keith) Christa; her great-grandchildren, Amy Wilburn, Heather Petty, Jennifer Jerome, Erin Petty, Cyndi Jerome, Caleb Christa, Joshua Christa, Ryan Christa, and Jake Fudge; and her great-great-grandchildren, Kiana Petty, Brooklyn Wilburn, Alyssa Petty, Jaylee Brown and Wyatt Christa.
Visitation will be held at Berryhill Funeral Home on Sunday, Aug. 14th, from 4-7 p.m. Funeral services will be conducted at Berryhill Funeral Home on Monday, Aug. 15, at 2:00 p.m. with Bro. Ed Johnson officiating. Burial will follow in Huntsville Memory Gardens.
