allieAllie Margaret Pitcock, 96, of Decatur died Tuesday, June 21, 2016.

Born in Oak Grove, Virginia, to Allan and Minnie Combs, Mrs. Pitcock was a graduate of Oak Grove High School. She was a member of Sixteenth Avenue Baptist Church, Decatur. She was a warm loving person who touched so many hearts, even in her final days. She loved her family, God and her church family. She had a passion for life and flower gardening. A light shined in her that cannot be diminished even in death, her smile, her laughter will live in our hearts forever.

Survivors include a son, Robert E Pitcock, Jr. of Killen; a daughter, Jessica Pitcock of Gadsden; three grandchildren, Gia (Davy-husband) Delano of Florence, Adam Pitcock of Decatur and Leif Pitcock of Madison; great-grandson, Kaine Delano, Florence. She was preceded in death by her husband, Robert E. Pitcock, Sr., two sisters, a brother and a great-granddaughter, Cady Delano.

The family will receive friends from 1 to 2 p.m. Saturday, June 25 at Sixteenth Avenue Baptist Church with funeral services to follow. Brother David Kelly will be officiating and Roselawn Funeral Home directing. Burial will be at a later date at Pope’s Creek Baptist Church Cemetery, Montross, Virginia.
