Allie Mae Brown Frizzell

Allie Mae Brown Frizzell, age 95, passed from this earthly life to her heavenly home on Thursday, May 5, 2022. She was born in the Big Springs Community of Rutherford County to the late Allie Freeman and Altie Adell Orren Brown. She was the granddaughter of the late William Sammie and Dora Alice Prater Brown, and Thomas Jackson and Maggie Isabel Fox Orren.

 

Allie Mae was preceded in death by her husband of 48 years, James William Frizzell; her precious daughter Beverly June Frizzell Hayes; son-in-law Robert Eugene Hayes; siblings and spouses Cliff and Christine Brown, Catherine and Lonnie Lawrence, Sam Brown and niece Cynthia Suzanne Brown. In her Frizzell family, she was preceded by her father and mother-in-law William Xanton and Jimmie Lee Crosslin Frizzell; brothers-in-law and spouses Dorris and Jean Frizzell, Kenneth and Sarah Frizzell, Wade and Mary Ruth Frizzell, Ramsey Lowe, Ralph Gilbert, and Richard Parker; niece Rita Frizzell; and nephews Donny Lowe and Bobby Lowe.

 

Allie Mae is survived by her daughter Dianne Hayes, wife of Robert “Bob”; son-in-law David Hayes, husband of Beverly; grandchildren, their spouses, and families: Todd and Cassie Hayes, daughters Shelby and Lillie; Emily and Jason Harper, daughter Katelyn and son Colby; Kimberly Daubenspeck, daughter Allie Mae Dabney; Taylor and Jenny Hayes, daughter Courtney; Jason and Karen Hayes, son Caleb and daughters Cameran and Jayden. She is also survived in the Brown family by sister-in-law Pauline Brown, wife of Sam. In the Frizzell family, sister-in-law Betty Jean Lowe Parker, brother and sister-in-law Bruce and Adeline Frizzell, brother-in-law Joe Frizzell, and sister-in-law Peggy Gilbert. She is also survived by numerous nieces, nephews, their families, and many friends she called family.

 

Allie Mae attended the original Buchanan School on Manchester Highway. Before her marriage to James in 1946, she worked at McCord & Harris Drug Store on the Murfreesboro Square. There were many times she would travel to jobs with James during his construction career. Allie Mae and James attended New Hope Baptist Church in the Big Springs Community and later were charter members of Southeast Baptist Church in Murfreesboro where she was a second grade Sunday School teacher for many years, worked in Vacation Bible School, and was a devoted wife of a deacon.

 

Visitation will be held at Woodfins Funeral Chapel, Murfreesboro on Sunday, May 8, 2022 from 2:00pm to 6:00pm. Services will also be held at Woodfin’s on Monday, May 9, 2022 at 1:00pm. Services will be officiated by nephew, Claude King. Pallbearers will be grandsons: Todd Hayes, Taylor Hayes, Jason Hayes, Jason Harper, Harlan Dabney, Allen Daubenspeck; great-grandsons: Caleb Hayes and Colby Harper. Burial will follow services at Evergreen Cemetery in Murfreesboro.
