Pastor Jeff Rutledge will be giving the Eulogy.

Allen Wayne Morgan, an Iraq veteran and longtime resident of Munford, passed away peacefully on December 9th 2023. Allen was born November 3rd 1983 in Anniston Alabama. He graduated from Munford High School in 2002 before enlisting in the U.S. Army. As a private, first class for the Army, Allen, known as Big Bama, served in South Korea with the 2nd infantry division and served two consecutive tours in Iraq with the 1st battalion (Air Assault) 503rd infantry regiment, where he fought the Second Battle of Fallujah, earning an Army Achievement Medal, National Defense Service Medal, Korea Defense Medal, Global War on Terrorism Service Medal, Combat Infantry Badge and Iraq Campaign Medal.

After returning from war, Allen was a member of the Hellmand Project, where he and other veterans could share their talent and love for music to help raise awareness of the difficulties of transitioning back to civilian life.

Despite his large stature, Allen is described as a big teddy bear with a gentle soul and a deep passion for loud music. Since childhood, he has expressed himself through his guitar. No matter what life threw at him, he always had a smile on his face. Allen loved his family and boasted that his greatest accomplishment in life was his daughter.

Allen is preceded in death by his mother Gloria J Mcduff and grandparents Theodore and Alda Beaudet.

Allen is survived by his by his daughter Amelia Layne Morgan, His brother R.C Morgan(April), his sisters Kimberly Morgan and K.C Norton, his nieces Kara Young Gossage(Cody) and Katelyn Young, his nephews Wil and Zeke Morgan, James and Michael McDonald and his great niece Aubie Raye Murner.
