Allen D Copeland  Funeral services for Allen Doyle Copeland of Hanceville will be 1:00 P.M. Wednesday, May 3rd at Hanceville Funeral Home Chapel. Burial will follow the service at Hopewell Cemetery in Hanceville. Visitation for the public will be from 11:00 A.M. to 1:00 P.M. on Wednesday prior to the service at the funeral home.

Mr. Copeland was born on July 5, 1956 to Otto and Evelyn (Cruz) Copeland in Jefferson County, Alabama. After high school, Allen went on to serve his country with the United States Army. Shortly after, he took on a job at the Boilermaker’s Local Union 108 as a boilermaker. That was only the beginning of what turned into a career and retiring about 35 years later. When Mr. Copeland wasn’t working, most of his time was spent on the road with his motorcycle. He also enjoyed spending time with his family and loved ones. Going above and beyond for anyone wasn’t anything out of character for him. He had several friends whom he absolutely adored. He was loved and will be deeply missed by many. After a brief illness Mr. Copeland passed away at the age of 66 on April 28, 2023 at Cullman Regional Medical Center in Cullman, Alabama.

Those left to cherish his memory are his wife, Wanda Copeland; children, Cory (Sydney) Copeland, Danny (Tammie) Chaviers and Amy (Brent) Triplett; grandchildren, Stella Copeland, Cooper Copeland, Tiffany Chaviers, Savannah Chaviers, Alesha (Zac) Anderson, Katie Coker and Weston O’rear; siblings, Joey Copeland, Guy Copeland, Jimmy Copeland and Diane Booker; a host of many loving nieces and nephews and special grandchildren, Jack and Alex Herrin.

Mr. Copeland was preceded in death by his parents; daughter, Brandy Copeland; and granddaughter, Brittanie Triplett.
