Mr. Allan Clinton Medley, 95, a native of Florence, passed away Friday, December 21, 2012. He was a member of Florence Boulevard Church of Christ, a US Army veteran, and a retired School Teacher.
Visitation will be Wednesday, December 26, 2012 from 1:30 – 3 p.m. at Greenview Funeral Home with the funeral service beginning at 3 p.m. in Greenview Memorial Chapel. Officiating will be Dale Boren, and Robert Huffaker. Burial will follow in Greenview Memorial Park with military funeral honors accorded at graveside.
Mr. Medley was preceded in death by his wife, Bernice E. Chamberlain Medley; parents, Samuel Sisero and Lucinda Watkins Medley; six sisters; and four brothers.
He is survived by his sons, Michael Medley and wife Carol P. of Florence, Christopher Medley and wife Shelley C. of Searcy, Ark.; sister-in-law, Opal Medley; grandchildren, James “Jamey” A. Medley and wife Angi of Florence, Kevin A. Medley and wife Shjuanda of Florence, Joshua Medley and wife Jill of Searcy, Ark., Zachary Medley and wife Karli of Searcy, Ark.; great grandchildren, Mercedes Medley Beckman and husband Justin of Tuscaloosa, Ala., Anastasia, Lauren, Kolton, Paisley and Remington Medley, and John St. Clair all of Florence, Ala.
Active pallbearers will be Josh Medley, Zach Medley, Wayne Fowler, Jimmy Medley, Randy Medley, and Keith Medley.
Honorary pallbearers will be Dr. Ricky Irons, Dr. Felix Morris, and Dr. Heaton.
