Aline Cox, age 74, a resident of Columbia, passed away Tuesday, August 8, 2017 at Life Care Center.
A funeral service will be held on Friday at 2PM at Heritage Funeral Home with Pastor Rick Points officiating. Burial will follow in the Garden of Grace in Maury Memorial Gardens, adjacent to the funeral home. A visitation will also be held on Friday from 10AM-2PM at the funeral home. Heritage Funeral Home is assisting the family with arrangements.
Born on February 23, 1943 in Maury County, Aline was the daughter of the late Clarence Wiley Holder and the late Hazel Lorene Allen Holder. She attended Haylong High School in Mt. Pleasant and was a member of Santa Fe Baptist Church. Aline retired from Durango Boot Company in Franklin as a seamstress and worked many years at Weather Tamer.
She is survived by her sons: David (Pam) Cox, Doug (Michele) Cox; daughter: Sandra Cox; brothers: Raymond Holder, Jake Holder, Steve Holder, Clarence Wiley Holder, Jr.; sisters: Betty Runions, JoAnn Coleman, Patricia Griggs, Ruthie Ann Holloway; and grandchildren: Adam Wayne Scott, Charity Ann Cox Gibson, Darrell Wiley Cox, Shannon Michele Lowe, and Kristanna Faith Collins.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband: Donald S. Cox on September 23, 2016; and sister: Earlene Hensley.
Pallbearers will be: Adam Scott, James Gibson, Raymond Holder, Jake Holder, Clarence Wiley Holder, Jr., and Steve Holder. The members of Santa Fe Baptist Church and Aline’s nephews will serve as honorary pallbearers.
