Memorial services for Mrs. Alida Hester Yates, age 82, will be held at 1 PM on Friday, January 5, 2024 at Emmanuel Baptist Church in Humboldt. Visitation will be Friday from 10 AM until service time at the church.
Mrs. Yates, a retired employee of Sears and member of Emmanuel Baptist Church, passed away on Tuesday, January 2, 2023 at the West Tennessee Healthcare North Hospital.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Neal and Dorothy Wolfe; and a brother, Joseph Wolfe.
Mrs. Yates is survived by her husband of 63 years, Billy Yates; a daughter, Kimberly (Thomas) Schehr of Lockport, IL; a son, Steven (Kathleen) Yates of Bolingbrook, IL; five grandchildren, Ashley Schehr, Kristin Yates, Kaylee Schehr, Taylor Schehr and Alyssa Yates; a sister-in-law, Pat McDade; and a brother-in-law, Mike (Jane) Yates.
