Alice V. Banks, 87, died Saturday, December 21, 2019 at the Iuka Hospital, Iuka, MS. She was born in Burnsville, MS and taught school for over forty years. She was a member of Golden Central Baptist Church and a member of Eastern Star.
Services will be Tuesday, December 24, 12 p.m. at Golden Central Baptist Church, Golden, MS with Bro. Jackie Hastings officiating. Burial will be in Hillcrest Memorial Gardens, Red Bay, AL. Deaton Funeral Home, Belmont, MS will be in charge of arrangements.
She is survived by two children – Alan Banks, Somerville, TN and Benita Crank (William) Franklin, TN; three grandchildren – Alex Banks, Lauren Banks and Sebastian Crank and two sisters – Mabel Hodges and Nora Newell (Jerry).
She was preceded in death by her husband, Huel Banks and a son, Carl Lee Banks.
Pallbearers will be Alan Banks, Michael Hodges, Alexander Banks and Bobby Hodges.
Visitation will be Monday, December 23, 6-9 p.m. at Golden Central Baptist Church.
