Alice R. (Rosie) Wright of Lubbock passed away on Tuesday, March 24, 2015, at the age of 87. She was born on August 17, 1927, in Tulia, Texas, to Wilhelm and Opal Dalluge. Rosie attended school in Tulia where she graduated. After high school she attended Saint Anthony’s School of Nursing in Amarillo. After graduating with an associate’s degree she was employed at the Swisher County Hospital. She then entered Baylor Hospital School of Anesthesiology where she became licensed. She was employed for 35 years with the Orange County Hospital and Medical Center as a Certified Registered Nurse Anesthetist. She married Porches Wright in Oct. 1957. After retiring she then moved to Florence, AL, with her husband Porches Wright. After he passed away she moved to San Antonio for a short time. She then moved from San Antonio to Lubbock, where she resided at Cottage Village. Alice was preceeded in death by her parents; a sister, Clara Loraine; three brothers, Billy Richard, Clyde Wayne, and Joe Lee. Those left to cherish her memory are sisters, Frankie Bills, Edna Hooper, Martha Rodriguez, Virginia Dell; and brothers, Dennis Dalluge and Jeff Dalluge. She is also survived by several nieces and nephews. A graveside service will be Saturday, March 28, 2015, at 11 AM at Shiloh Cemetery in Killen, AL. Elkins Funeral Home is assisting the family with arrangements.
