Alice Nelson Thrasher, 96 of Boaz passed away Saturday, October 22, 2016 at her residence.
Funeral Service: 2 p.m. Tuesday, October 25, 2016, Boaz Carr Chapel with burial to follow in Thrasher Cemetery with Bro. Nick Bayne and Bro. Jonathan Powell officiating. Pallbearers will be Tim Thrasher, Gary Thrasher, Adam Thrasher, Stephen Thrasher, Chad Lancaster and Tommy Nelson.
Visitation: 11 am till 2 pm at the funeral home on Tuesday, October 25, 2016
Mrs. Thrasher lifelong pursuit was to serve the Lord and provide a loving home for raising her seven sons and their families. She was a dedicated Christian and church member of Mountainboro Baptist Church for more than 70 years. She and her husband lived in the Sardis Community for more than 70 years and she sold Avon for over 30 years in the Boaz and Sardis Communities. She leaves behind a host of family and friends and she will be surely missed by all who knew her. She loved deeply and was loved by many. Heaven is a little sweeter today. Her life verses were 23rd Psalm and she lived a Proverbs 31 life.
Survivors include: Sons: Gene (Rovine) Thrasher, Allen Dale (Georgina) Thrasher, Larry (Dianne) Thrasher, Steve (Kathy) Thrasher, and Danny (Becky) Thrasher, 17 Grandchildren, 31 Great Grandchildren, 8 Great-Great Grandchildren.
Preceded in death by: Husband of 62 years Vernon Thrasher, Sons: Bobby Thrasher and Jimmy Thrasher
