Alice Marie Cornelius, 86, of Lynn entered into rest on Monday, September 6, 2021 at her residence.
Mrs. Cornelius was born April 19, 1935 in Winston County, Alabama.
Visitation will be held on Wednesday, September 8, 2021 from 1pm to 2pm at Mt. Carmel Baptist Church in Double Springs, where the service will begin at 2pm. Brother Greg Blanton will officiate. Burial will follow in the church cemetery. The family requests that all who attend please wear a mask and practice social distancing.
Alice is survived by her son, Wayne (Gwen) Cornelius; daughter, Patricia Norris; brother, William Foster (Phyllis) Wood Jr.; 12 grandchildren; 21 great grandchildren and 6 great great grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Willard Cornelius; son, Darell Cornelius; daughter, Lydia Lenae Cornelius Wilson; great granddaughter, Allie Cochran; parents, William Foster Wood and Lydia Sutton Wood; and sisters, Mary Sue Dawson, Dorothy Hanner, Nethel Garrison and Gail Redding.
