Alice Louise Martin, age 92, of Lawrenceburg, TN passed away Sunday, December 31, 2023, at NHC Healthcare of Scott in Lawrenceburg, TN. She was a native of Lawrence County, TN, owner of Martin’s Fabrics and Martin’s Bridal N Formal; a member of the FCE Club and Springer Road Church of Christ.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Paul Alexander and Myrtle Lee Thompson Orton; her husband, Leo Martin; one sister, Dean Richmond; and two brothers, Norman Orton and Rual Orton.
She is survived by one son, Paul Lee Martin (Paula) of Lawrenceburg, TN; one daughter, Shirley A. Marks of Leoma, TN; one sister, Nell Jones of Atlanta, GA; one brother, Joel Orton of Pulaski, TN; two grandchildren; one step-grandchild; four great-grandchildren; and three step-great-grandchildren.
Arrangements are being handled by Neal Funeral Home, 231 N. Military Avenue, Lawrenceburg, Tennessee. The family will receive friends from 4:00 PM to 7:00 PM Wednesday, January 03, 2024, at Neal Funeral Home. Funeral services will be conducted at Neal Funeral Home at 11:00 AM Thursday, January 04, 2024, with James Smith officiating. Interment will follow at Pleasant Grove Cemetery in Lawrence County, TN. The family suggests memorials be made to Springer Road Church of Christ.
