Obituary of Alice HornAlice Fern Horn, 83, passed away Tuesday, February 13, 2024, at Landmark Nursing and Rehabilitation Center in Booneville. She was born August 24, 1940 in Missouri, to Carlies and June Crowson. She married the love of her life, Don Horn, August 20, 1963. She was a member of East Booneville Baptist Church since 1969. She worked for Jitney Jungle, Food Giant and Wal-mart. She enjoyed reading the Bible, was an expert crossword puzzler, and loved taking care of her grandchildren.

A Celebration of Life will be at 2:00 P.M. Thursday, February 15, 2024, at McMillan Funeral Home with Bro. Jim Holcomb and Bro. Rickey Kelly officiating, Laura McCreary will be delivering the eulogy. Burial will be in Hinkle Creek Cemetery. Visitation will be Wednesday from 5:00 P.M. until 8:00 P.M. at the funeral home.

She is survived by one son, Mike Horn (Laurie); one daughter, Laura McCreary (Mark); special son and daughter, Burt and Jackie Griffin; six brothers-in-law, Gaither Horn, Lanny Horn (Barbara), Jerry Horn (Melissa), Dan Polaski, Jude McGrath (Wanda) and Roger Pinkoski; one sister-in-law, Carolyn Hall; five grandchildren, Dylan Horn (Zoe), Chancy Griffin (Brielle) Alise McCreary, Kaylie Griffin and John Mark McCreary; and a host of nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Don Horn in 2019; one daughter, Paula Griffin; her parents; six sisters-in-law, Sherry Horn, Brenda Polaski, Ann Horn, Reba McGrath, Sandra Pinkoski and Debbie Hutchens; and one grandson Michael Horn, Jr.

Pallbearers are Dylan Horn, Chancy Griffin, John Mark McCreary, Jason McGrath, Robbie Hutchens, Rickey Hannon, Randy Michael and Jimmy Grimes.

Honorary pallbearers are her nephews and great-nephews.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Beds For Kids, In Memory of Alice Horn, C/o FBC New Albany, 200 East Bankhead Street, New Albany, MS 38652.
